What to Expect
Your day begins with an early morning pickup in Amman and a scenic 2–3 hour drive south toward Petra.
Once we arrive, you’ll walk through the stunning Siq—a narrow, winding gorge with towering cliffs—until suddenly, the iconic Treasury appears before your eyes. But that’s just the beginning.
You’ll explore carved facades, the Royal Tombs, the Roman Theater, and more of Petra’s ancient Nabataean city. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can hike up to the Monastery for panoramic views worth every step.
Throughout the journey, your Petra tour guide will share fascinating insights about Petra’s history and the people who once lived there. With the help of a knowledgeable Petra local guide, you’ll uncover stories hidden within every stone and monument. We’ll take a break for lunch or snacks before heading back, possibly making a scenic stop at Mount Nebo on the return to Amman, just in time to catch a desert sunset.
